What is a reason (and why is it important)?
A reason is WHY you do something, and the bigger the reason, the bigger your chance of success becomes. Why is that? Well it is because it makes you able to make decisions that won’t compromise your success, because it makes you want it more. If you go after something without the proper reasoning, or without knowing why you want it, then you will fail, it’s only a matter of time. Continue reading “Why Reasons Matter”
Hard work and dedication
That’s the sentence people tend to use when it comes to losing weight, getting fit and working on your health. I don’t buy into that so much anymore, I believe that with the slightest shift in our mindset, we can turn our health into something we love and enjoy working on. But how? We have spend our entire life being told that burgers and fries are delicious, that snickers bars are awesome, that pizza is the food of ninjas and that soda pops is a delicacy belonging in every well assorted fridge…. There is a way! Continue reading “What one year can do”
Personal opinions first, then science.
What I hate the most about this diet fad, is the religion it has turned into, it limits your way of enjoying food in a varied and natural way. It takes fruit out of your diet, it generally takes a lot of freshness from your food. I don’t like that, I see people eating tomatoes with tuna and mayo, that’s not a fresh delicious meal, that’s a compromise. Continue reading “Why I don’t like LCHF diets (low carb high fat)”
Confessions of an addict
I have a confession to make, you see, I have been addicted to many things in my life, some good, some bad, but by far the hardest one to quit, was my food addiction. Yeah, addiction! Did you know that sugar is 7 times as addictive as heroin? You might want to laugh it off like it’s nothing, but what you should do, is take it real serious! Because food companies know this, and they make sure that their products have the right mix, to make you super addicted to it. They do it by making the perfect mix of sugar, fat and salt, the 3 things humans crave the very most, Continue reading “Changing a habit (how to stop snacking)”
As you know already if you are a regular reader of the blog, I am going on a one month Muay Thai and MMA training camp with Team Quest in Chang Mai. There is a really specific reason for this and I’ll try to explain why I am doing it.
I have done a lot of soul searching lately, because I was missing a piece of my life puzzle, and after a lot of long conversations with my wife about what to do, Continue reading “Why I am going back to fighting”
Okay here is the deal, I know I haven’t been super productive on the blog for a while, and to my regulars: I am truly sorry!
But fear not! It’s not because I haven’t been out and about, actually quite the opposite, I have been super busy, Singapore, Bali, New Zealand and right now writing from Lombok. So just because there haven’t been any posts going up, I have been saving them for when I have more time, which is right about now. Continue reading “I Grew a Beard”
I need to get back on track
So I had a couple of pretty shitty days lately, and I ended up with a bag of cookies in bed last night, and I finished that bag like a champ, and I felt appropriately guilty as soon as I had finished them. I also skipped juice day this Thursday, I bet I even gained a bit of weight again…. So how do I attack this? What steps do I need to take to get back to transforming my self to the healthiest happiest me? Continue reading “Don’t let cookies get in the way of your success”
Hanging in there
Something changes inside you during a transformation period, whether that being weight loss, training, muscle growth, diet, or even something that has nothing to do with health. The thing that makes it hard is routine. It just stops being exciting all of a sudden and all the workout highs and all the success kinda just turns into an everyday thing. So how do you keep yourself motivated when the shock of everyday life sets in? Continue reading “3 keys to staying motivated after initial success”
Possibilities or limitations?
I love pushing the limitations set up by conventional thinking, testing out the classic sayings about how something needs to be done, in order to be healthy or possible. I know the old sayings are hard to let go of and leave behind, and they are not all bad and most of them have a great amount of truth in them, but in order to push the limits you have to say goodbye to all of them, and make up your own brand new set of rules! Continue reading “Super fast weight loss, fact or fiction?”
I am super satisfied
I really want to let everybody who read a long and followed me on social media know, that this has been a HUGE success, I really pushed my self a lot harder than I ever thought I could have. This has resulted in me already having lost 7 kilos on the second last weigh-in, making me super motivated to go all out this last week of the challenge, doing 2 full juice days, and limiting Continue reading “How to lose 5 kg in 5 weeks (WEEK 5)”
